Backyard Racehorse Weekend Seminar Friday July 11th-Sunday July13th
You're familiar with BYRH, you've seen us on Facebook, maybe you've even read the book. Now, learn firsthand what it takes to successfully train and race out of your backyard!
Arrive Friday evening for a dinner social and goal setting session.
Saturday and Sunday will be spent accomplishing hands on training. You will work with Janet Del Castillo as she guides her horses through all aspects of the training/racing processes - turning them out, grazing in the pasture, then loading into the van for a trip to the track or training center for a gallop, work or race.
With over 30 years experience, Janet Del Castillo demonstrates clear, concise and compassionate training methods for all to utilize with their own backyard racehorse. Her training is both thorough and varied-she has been an owner, trainer, breeder, groom, hauler and healer, and possesses a vast amount of hands-on experience in most every area of racing. Her quest is simple: allow horses to do what they do best-live like horses and still be competitive at the track.
Seminar pricing details:
$500 single
$750 per couple
$1000 for entire family (Mom and Dad and all the kids).
Limited lodging is available at the Rancho Del Castillo farm @ $50.00 per person (or couple) per night including breakfast.
We’ll help you with booking local hotel and car rental if desired.
Lunch on Saturday day is supplied to all attendees by Janet. Each person purchases his own lunch and dinner at the race track. If the trip is overnight to the Miami tracks, then there will be a regular hotel room charge.
Rancho Del Castillo is conveniently located in Central Florida, less than one hour from Tampa and Orlando. Disney World, Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Epcot Center are all a short drive from the farm.
